Fundamentals of Disease Biology II

ECOL 8520 – Spring 2017

Fundamentals of Disease Biology is a two semester course sequence for students in the IDEAS program. Taught in four-week modules, this course covers essential concepts in ecology, evolution, immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, and metabolism as they relate to specific infectious diseases. Each module is self-contained, and students can register to receive credit for one or more modules. In Spring 2017, students studied Morbillivirus (Weeks 1-3), Mycoplasma (Weeks 4-6), Arboviruses (Weeks 7-9), and Influenza (Weeks 10-12).
